description: Erick Lyle of "SCAM" magazine reads from his new book, On The Lower Frequencies: A Secret History of The City, out now on Soft Skull Press. Lyle looks back at highlights and tactics of the past ten years of activism in a gentrified San Francisco -- including tales of squatted community centers, punk shows in the streets, and protesters shutting down San Francisco when the war started. Cindy Crabb discusses the intersection of anarchism and personal history with stories from her inspiring zine "Doris".
